ptr Celestial Tournament

Several new pets have appeared in the ptr since my last post, but today I was quite focussed on the Celestial Tournament. There are now so many pets on the ptr, I wouldn't even feel comfortable guessing at how many will make it live.

Anyway, on to the tournament...

PTR Pet Corral New Arrivals

There are several new arrivals in the PTR as far as pets go. I wrote about a few here as well.

Most of these are far from presentable at this point, but one sets itself apart. As I wrote before, I am very excited about more creative abilities for our pets and the devs are continuing to deliver on that front.

PTR Pet Corral

When the PTR came out I hopped in there lickety split because I wanted to check out the process for trading in family stones for marked stones. I couldn't find anything. Pet updates seem to come last to the PTR. However, before I exited I noticed that Pierre was back; he was gone in the 5.3 PTR, you see. When Pierre didn't come out in 5.2, I was disappointed, so I decided to come back later and see if he's changed. What I found has me brimming with excitement...

PTR - New Achievements and Beasts of Fable Update

I was previously concerned that the Beasts of Fable breakdown quests would be a single random daily because only one quest was showing up at a time when I checked the quest giver, but today I greeted her and she revealed all three quests at once, so yay.

With that awesome update out of the way, here's some news about achievements...

PTR - Gahz'rooki

Keep in mind everything in this post is at risk of being tweaked into something unrecognisable by comparison before the content goes live.

This pet is loads of fun and even on the ptr I went ahead and put hours of work into getting it. I can even just sit there with my Gahz'rooki out and watch its heads try to eat each other; they snap at each other every few seconds. It's big, too, so the animations can plainly be seen. Unfortunately, it doesn't react to clicking that I've noticed, but with the frequency of its animation, who cares?

How much effort was I willing to invest in a pet I don't get to keep? Well...

PTR - Beasts of Fable

I wasn't planning to post until finals are over except for updating what I got from the fabled pet supplies. Honestly, the only thing I've been logging in for is to do the Beasts of Fable daily and then I was off to write papers all day. However, the ptr for 5.3 came out and it has some rather exciting changes that are going to knock a grade point off my papers, so expect lots of upcoming posts.

I absolutely love doing the Beasts of Fable daily and fighting those legendary pets, and I've gotten pretty quick about it (about 25 minutes including travel time) so I'm excited about the changes that appeared in the ptr.
